Woven from aramid fiber impregnated with PTFE emulsion and treated with lubricant. It has good chemical resistance, high rebound and low cold flow. It has excellent high-speed, high-modulus properties (called artificial metal wire). Its strength is three times that of metal wire and its weight is five times lighter than metal wire. Therefore, it is resistant to granular crystallizing media and higher temperatures than other types of packing and can be used alone or in combination with other packings. It is a good asbestos replacement product in pump systems and can be used in chemical, petroleum, pharmaceutical, food and sugar, pulp, paper and power industries.
